About

How goes it?

I'm Brittany, a graphic designer who likes to fret about the little details. I approach design by having fun and thinking conceptually, and believe that design is able to inspire and encourage the world around us. My passion for design largely focuses on all-things brand identity, editorial design, and illustration.

I'm a 2021 graduate of the York University/Sheridan College Bachelor of Design program, also known as YSDN, and a 2016 graduate of the Sheridan College Visual and Creative Arts program. Professionally, I've been fortunate to work with various purpose-driven brands, with a majority of them being in the education sector.

Here's how I often approach design:

Experiment, and try and try again.

Good ideas can evolve through exploration. And when an idea seems good enough, keep evolving it further in order to get to the bigger picture.

Don't just design. Tell a story.

Design has the opportunity to help tell a story or visualize a concept, inform and expose people to new and important things, and to inspire them along the way.

Be playful. Have fun.

From obsessing over colours, exploring various typefaces, creating illustrations and everything in between!

Some other things about me:

I love:

🌲 Forest green; my new favourite colour at the moment.

🍿 Watching movies (new or old) or getting hooked on a good series.

🍁 Autumn over any of the other seasons.

🐶 Dogs. I've never met a dog I didn't like!

👟 Sneakers over any kind of shoe...even in the summer.

I'm not a fan of:

☕️ Coffee. (But I do drink tea!)

📚 Bookmarking a page in a book by folding the corners.

🐴 Country music...sorry y'all.

🍏 Any fruit besides a green apple. Weird, I know.

📁 Unorganized file folders. Everything should have it's place.
